Mission
In the world, an estimated 37 million people are blind. 90% of all blind persons live in the developing world. Many persons with a treatable or preventable eye disease does have no access to eye care. The majority of the children and adults with a irreversible visual impairment does have no access to education or vocational training.
The vision of Dark & Light Blind Care is that everywhere in the world, people do not have to fear to become and stay needlessly blind and people with a visual impairment are able to live a life of dignity .
Our mission is dedicated to eliminating avoidable blindness and improving the quality of life of persons with visual impairment in the poor and least served communities in developing countries.
Dark & Light Blind Care wants to work according to the following values:
