Dark and Light Blind Care is a Christian non-profit foundation for helping visually impaired people in Asia and Africa, especially children, through projects for prevention, treatment, education and vocational training.

Dark and Light Blind Care was founded 25 years ago by a Dutch ophthalmologist. At present we support local organisations in 12 countries in Asia and Africa. We support them with financial means but also with means of capacity building. With most organisations we have long term relationships built on equality. The organisations we support are working on eye care, rehabilitation of disabled people, education of disabled children and advocacy for the rights of the disabled people. Recent years we have broadened our target group from the blind to people with disability in general.
